2024-25 Schedule

Rehearsals begin September 9, 2024

*Class schedule changes to combined classes starting the week of January 13, 2025. Schedule is as follows:

Tuesday class from 6PM-8PM
Wednesday class from 6PM-7:45PM
Thursday class from 6PM-7:30PM.

Tuition and Payment Schedule

Tuition is $575 per student per year, and note there are no multiple-student discounts. Please take time to review our “Tuition Policy” which you will come across upon completing the enrollment process. You can choose to pay in full or make two payments in October and January. Registration can be paid by credit card or check this year. CASH PAYMENTS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. Credit card payments are accepted via our new registration software, Jackrabbit Dance. In the Parent Portal, you have the option to save the card information that you will create during the enrollment process.

*Please note that a $15 costume maintenance fee is already included in the tuition

Class Placement

Students will be divided into classes by grade:

    1. If your child is in 3rd, 4th, or 5th grade this school year, they will dance on Thursdays (Boys: 6-7 pm, Girls: 7-8 pm)
    2. If your child is in 6th, 7th, or 8th grade this school year, they will dance on Wednesdays (Boys: 5:45-7 pm, Girls 7:15-8:30 pm)
    3. If your child is in 9th grade or higher this school year, they will dance on Tuesdays (Boys 5:45-7 pm, Girls 7:15-8:30 pm)

Kashtan, Zorya, and the UCAA

Kashtan School of Ukrainian Dance and Zorya Ukrainian Female Vocal Ensemble operate under the umbrella of the Ukrainian Cultural Arts Association of Greater Cleveland. As such, they very much work in conjunction with each other in many aspects. Kashtan’s and Zorya’s Artistic Staff and Guest Instructors are paid employees of the UCAA. Any questions regarding Kashtan or Zorya rehearsals, fundraisers, performances, or general housekeeping can be directed to the UCAA Artistic Administrator, Christy Bohuslawsky-Brown (cbbrown@ucaacle.org or kashtan@ucaacle.org), while any UCAA administrative questions can be directed to the President of the UCAA Board of Trustees, Diana Prodan (dprodan@ucaacle.org)

Code of Conduct, Policies, and Expectations

Kashtan School of Ukrainian Dance strives to offer the highest level of dance education in a positive, respectful, and nurturing environment. In order to develop and maintain this environment, we as that all students and their parents review and abide by Kashtan’s Code of Conduct and Social Media Policy (located in the Registration Packet).

  • Students are to be respectful to all Artistic Staff, Guest Instructors, accompanists, chaperones, costume staff, administrative and/or parent volunteers, and visitors.
  • Profane language, horseplay, or disruptive behavior will not be tolerated.
  • Students are to be respectful to all Kashtan property and performance venue property.
  • Class attire is as follows: Girls are to wear black leotards, black wrap skirts, white tights, and pink or nude ballet shoes. Boys are to wear a plain, white fitted t-shirt, black athletic pants, and black ballet shoes. The student’s hair must be pulled back away from the face. NO JEWELRY.
  • No gum, food, soda cans, street shoes, or cell phones are permitted in the studio.
