Sonyashnyk (Sunflower) – A Benefit for Ukraine

Doors open at 6 pm sharp. General seating. Food and drinks are not allowed inside the Gartner Auditorium, but you can enjoy both at the Provenance Café, open until 7 pm. Tickets can only be bought through this Eventbrite link; no cash or checks, please. Have your ticket (electronic or paper copy) ready at the door. Please join us to collect donations for the country of Ukraine, its battered cities, and its trapped and displaced citizens. This evening of music, art, dance, and poetry will feature Lviv-born concert pianist Emanuel Ax, President of Piano Cleveland Yaron Kohlberg, members of the Cleveland Orchestra William Brian Thornton (cello), Joshua Smith (flute), Robert Woolfrey (clarinet), Isabel Trautwein (viola) and the Omni Quartet, members of Apollo’s Fire, the Cleveland Institute of Music Elless Quartet, Ukrainian folk dance ensemble Kashtan and choir Zorya, Alexander Fedoriouk with Harmonia, and many more.

We thank the Cleveland Museum of Art for hosting the event and the performers for donating their talent and time!

Profits will be split among three organizations on the ground in Ukraine:

  1. Cleveland Maidan Association
  2. World Central Kitchen
  3. Global Giving’s Ukraine Crisis Relief Fund
