President’s Letter
Greetings from the Ukrainian Cultural Arts Association of Greater Cleveland. I would like to introduce myself as the new president of the UCAA. Also, I thank Shelly Hejnal, immediate past president, for all her hard work and look forward to her support as she continues on the board. We hope everyone enjoyed their summer and are looking forward to a great school year. What a fall we are having!
The UCAA is looking forward to a busy year, new dance members and parents, new board members and our new projects.
Kashtan welcomes back Artistic Director Diana Prodan and Assistant Artistic Director Jonathan Hejnal for the 2015-2016 school year. With this team, enrollment has increased; additional classes and staff have been added to make sure the students receive the right attention. We enjoyed great feedback from those who made it to our recital in May and various church festivals. We look forward to many performances throughout the upcoming year.
It is with great pleasure we welcome back Natalia Mahlay as Artistic Director of Zorya Ukrainian female ensemble. Natalia founded Zorya and is sure to move the group beyond levels of years past. Keep an eye out for a future performance of our revamped Zorya.
If you wish either of our groups to perform for you, please contact me at cjdubas@gmail.com. Thank you for your sponsorship, and we look forward to seeing you at a future performance.
