About UCAA

The Ukrainian Cultural Arts Association (UCAA) is a non-profit organization that was formed in 1979 and has long been a catalyst of Ukrainian culture in the greater Cleveland area. The mission of the organization is to promote Ukrainian culture through music, dance and the arts in order to share the rich Ukrainian history throughout the Northeast Ohio area and beyond.

As the parent organization of the Zorya Ukrainian Female Vocal Ensemble and the Kashtan Ukrainian Dance Ensemble, the UCAA strives to entertain and educate the public about the broad cultural spectrum the Ukrainian community offers. The vision of the original board of directors, under the direction of Zenon Holubec, and the hard work of each subsequent board is a constant source of motivation for the current board of directors. The UCAA is fully committed to fulfilling their goal of preserving and teaching many future generations the beauty of Ukrainian culture. This preservation of the Ukrainian soul through song and dance has been the UCAA’s greatest success and is what drives the organization into the future.
